Lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) is a common condition in patients aged 50 and older that causes pain and neurological compromise of the low back and legs. This condition can be very debilitating and makes walking upright very difficult. As it worsens, any walking at all may become impossible due to the high degree of pain. Causes of lumbar spinal stenosis includes narrowing of the spinal canal in the lumbar region, typically caused by degenerative changes in the spine such as osteoarthritis or herniated discs, as well as congenital conditions, tumors, or injuries. This condition is manageable with particular tehcniques using electroacupuncture, manual therapy, and exercises. In this webinar you will learn the anatomy and neurology involved in LSS as well as how to assess and treat this condition.
