This Pelvic Floor Acupuncture & Dry Needling in-person seminar provides a comprehensive approach to treating pelvic pain and urogenital and sexual disorders using Acupuncture and myofascial techniques. Completion of this class provides assurance to practitioners and patients alike that a high level of competency, skills, ethics, and clinical acumen unique to treating the pelvic region, has been met.

Certification criteria:

  • Complete all pre-requisite coursework prior to the class
  • Attend Zoom meeting prior to the class
  • Complete the class including the hands-on practical portions and final skills assessment
  • Complete 3 case studies on your own, after the in-person course; Case studies will be reviewed with Dr. Hampton via Zoom
  • Complete the final online quiz (released after attending the in-person course)

About Jamie Hampton, DAOM, L.Ac. – Lead Instrutor

Dr. Jamie Hampton is a doctoral graduate of The American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the oldest TCM school in the US. She has worked in leading San Francisco Bay Area hospitals for the last 18 years with an emphasis on true integration and collaboration within fast paced clinical settings including the ICU. While she was an adjunct professor through University of California, San Francisco she also had the privilege of teaching grand rounds to medical students. This experience blossomed into a faculty position at the Acupuncture and Integrative Medical College in Berkeley, CA where she taught advanced needling technique, gynecology and advanced formula writing. This solidified her love of teaching and connecting with her students, conveying the power of TCM and all its abilities. Jamie was also co-founder of Golden Leaf Acupuncture in Berkeley, CA which was University California Berkeley’s leading provider for students as well as faculty and staff.

Having discovered a total lack of treatment options for pelvic floor pain and urogenital disorders, Dr. Hampton made it her mission to specialize in helping these patients using Acupuncture and Dry Needling, She has over 15 years of experience specializing in treating the pelvic floor.

Currently Jamie practices in Berkeley, CA  specializing in pelvic floor disorders and complex orthopedic cases.

About Ciel Yogis, DPT – Soft Tissue and Fascial Instructor

Ciel Yogis is a physical therapist who treats patients with bowel, bladder or sexual dysfunction, as well as orthopedic impairments. Her goal is to restore natural movement to the body through a holistic approach that incorporates her experience as a Pilates instructor.

Ciel helps patients individually to understand their own impairments from an anatomical and functional perspective, while also teaching them about the psychological components of their pain or dysfunction. Her treatment often includes education, behavioral modifications, traditional exercise and neuromuscular exercises, a method called Fascial Manipulation and other manual therapies, and mindfulness-based exercises.

Ciel earned her physical therapy doctorate from a joint program between San Francisco State University and UCSF. She is a certified Pilates instructor and a certified instructor in the MELT Method, which teaches individuals to relieve their own pain, stay healthy and reach physical goals.

Yogis is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and California Physical Therapy Association.

About Moses Alvarez, L.Ac., Teaching Assistant

Moses Alvarez, RN, L.Ac. is a licensed acupuncturist and registered professional nurse specializing in orthopedics and electroacupuncture. Moses has over 20 years of total experience in the fields of rehabilitation therapy, pain management and exercise science, with acupuncture specialty training in EXSTORE, pelvic floor, and trigger point dry needling. In addition to practicing, Moses is an assistant instructor for all of Dr. Anthony Lombardi’s and Dr. Jamie Hampton’s seminars. He has private practices in Central Pennsylvania serving athletes and the general population, treating musculoskeletal conditions, pelvic floor disorders, and post-surgery patients.

About Darren O’Rourke, L.Ac., Teaching Assistant

Darren O Rourke, L.Ac, NMPT, R.Herb, has been a licensed acupuncturist in Dublin, Ireland since 2013 and a Neuromuscular Physical Therapist since 2015. He graduated from the Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland and participated in an internship in the Neurological department of the 2nd Provincial Hospital of Nanjing, China. Darren specializes in the treatment of the Musculoskeletal system including Orthopedics, pain, sports injuries and performance, and pelvic floor. He runs his private practice in Dublin, Ireland and works with professional athletes including individual fighters and football teams. Darren is passionate about the integration of dry needling and manual therapeutic techniques, promoting both to be more established into the field of acupuncture, making Acupuncturists the go-to therapists for treating musculoskeletal conditions. He is currently in his 3rd year of an MSc. in Physiotherapy program in Dublin.

About Lolane Glundal, L.Ac., Teaching Assistant

Lora Lolane Glundal, L.Ac. is a licensed Acupuncturist & Chinese Herbalist with over 17 years of experience. Lolane has training in a variety of areas including Orthopedics and Dry Needling and Pelvic Floor Acupuncture. In addition to this, Lolane is also certified as both a Hatha/Vinyasa and Kundalini Yoga teacher. Lolane currently has a private practice in Central New York, assists in the Dry Needling and Pelvic Floor seminars with ASE Seminars LLC, and will teach Pelvic Floor Yoga starting in 2025.
