SUMMARY:Mixed Frequency Electroacupuncture for Sports Injuries - Hawaii
DESCRIPTION:January 9th-10th\, 2027 \n\n \n\nMixed-Frequency Electroacupuncture for Sports Injuries\n2-Day Seminar with Dr. Anthony Lombardi \n\n \n\nEvent Details\nDates: January 9–10\, 2027 \nTimes: Saturday 9am–5:30pm; Sunday 9am–5:00pm \nLocation: Hawaii  |  City: Honolulu \nVenue: TBD \nInstructor: Dr. Anthony Lombardi \nCredits: Pending 14.5 NCCAOM PDAs; Pending 14.5 California CEUs\, Category 1\, CEP#1721 \nIncludes: Fundamentals of Electroacupuncture webinar \nInvestment: $995 Early bird $795 \n\n \n\nCourse Description\nThis advanced clinical skills seminar is designed for practitioners looking to learn new skills in electroacupuncture to improve their clinical results treating a variety of musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction\, particularly for athletes and sports injuries. \nThis program introduces a mixed-frequency electroacupuncture framework integrating low\, medium\, and high-frequency stimulation within a single treatment paradigm to simultaneously target pain modulation\, neuromuscular activation\, tissue desensitization\, and functional recovery. \nThe curriculum is grounded in electroacupuncture literature demonstrating frequency-dependent neurophysiological effects\, including differential activation of endogenous opioid systems and neuromuscular pathways. Participants will extend these principles into a clinically reasoned mixed-frequency model tailored to athletic populations. \n\n \n\nCourse Learning Objectives\n\nDevelop a comprehensive understanding of the neurophysiological mechanisms of acupuncture and electro-acupuncture.\nDifferentiate low-\, medium-\, and high-frequency stimulation and their physiological effects.\nApply mixed-frequency electro-needling strategies across musculoskeletal conditions.\nIntegrate anatomical\, neurological\, and tissue-healing principles into treatment planning.\nEnhance return-to-play outcomes through targeted neuromodulation.\nBuild advanced clinical reasoning based on tissue stage and innervation patterns.\n\n\n \n\nSummary of What’s Covered\n\nDay 1 Summary: Posterior Chain & Running-Based Injuries \n\nHamstring strain – return-to-sprint progression and neuromuscular reactivation\nSacroiliac joint dysfunction – load transfer and pelvic stability in runners\nAchilles tendinopathy – elastic load tolerance and push-off mechanics\n\n\n\nDay 2 Summary: Tendon & Upper Extremity Performance Injuries \n\nPatellar tendinopathy – explosive loading and deceleration control\nRotator cuff-related shoulder pain – overhead performance restoration\nWrist pain – load-bearing stability and grip performance\n\n\n\n \n\nCourse Itinerary\nDay 1\n\n9:00 – 9:15 AM – Course Introduction & Objectives\n\n9:15 – 10:30 AM – Foundations of Electro-Acupuncture & Mixed Frequencies \n\nDetailed mechanisms\, frequency-specific effects\, and demonstration of combined protocols\n\n\n10:30 – 11:30 AM – Practical Application of Mixed Frequencies\n11:30 – 12:15 PM – Lunch\n\n12:15 – 12:45 PM – Hamstring Strain Lecture \n\nEccentric loading\, sarcomere disruption\, and tissue healing phases (inflammatory\, repair\, remodeling)\n\n\n12:45 – 2:00 PM – Hamstring Demonstration & Practice\n2:00 – 2:30 PM – Sacroiliac Joint Dysfunction Lecture\n2:30 – 4:00 PM – SI Joint Demonstration & Practice\n4:00 – 4:30 PM – Achilles Tendinopathy Lecture\n4:30 – 5:30 PM – Achilles & Lumbar Demonstration + Practice\n\nDay 2\n\n9:00 – 9:15 AM – Q&A and Review\n9:15 – 9:45 AM – Obturator Nerve Compression Syndrome Lecture\n9:45 – 11:00 AM – Obturator Nerve Demonstration & Practice\n11:00 – 12:00 PM – Patellar Tendinopathy Lecture & Demonstration\n12:00 – 12:45 PM – Lunch\n12:45 – 1:15 PM – Rotator Cuff Lecture\n1:15 – 2:45 PM – Rotator Cuff Demonstration & Practice\n2:45 – 3:00 PM – Break\n\n3:00 – 3:30 PM – Wrist Pain Lecture \n\nIncludes posterior interosseous nerve assessment and differentiation\nPosterior interosseous nerve low-frequency needling + mixed-frequency protocols\n\n\n3:30 – 5:00 PM – Wrist Demonstration & Practice\n\n\n \n\nPrior to Attending This Seminar\n\nPlease purchase the ITO\, Pantheon\, or E-stim II (or similar unit) prior to the seminar. These can be purchased at any distributor\, or on the ASE website HERE.\nReview the Fundamentals of EA webinar (added to your account after registering for the seminar)\n\n\n \n\nSeminar Cancellation / Refund Policy\nFor cancellations 14 days or more before the seminar\, a credit for a live seminar will be issued\, less $200. Credit must be used within 12 months from date of cancelled seminar. \n\n \n\nInstructor Bio\nDr. Anthony Lombardi is a 2002 graduate of the New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls\, New York and completed the McMaster Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program in Hamilton\, Ontario. He founded the Hamilton Back Clinic in 2002 and has since become a private consultant to athletes in the NFL\, CFL\, and NHL. Dr. Lombardi has accumulated some 190\,000 treatments over the past 22 years of practice. \nIn addition to practicing\, Dr. Lombardi was also an instructor in the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Program at McMaster University from 2004 to 2013. In 2010 he developed EXSTORE™\, an organized system of assessment and treatment that produces fast results using motor points\, electro-acupuncture\, soft tissue work\, and other modalities. \nDr. Lombardi has a library of on-demand education that continues to grow\, with some 75 webinars available covering a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and practice management topics. He also teaches his EXSTORE™ system through live\, in-person seminars throughout the U.S. and Canada. \nDr. Lombardi maintains a busy practice\, averaging 170 patient visits a week\, including 12 new patients every week\, for over 11 years. \n\n \n\nNeed Help?\nEmail us! support@aseseminars.com
